Hormone Optimization

The full picture of your hormones. Not just the obvious ones.

Most hormone testing stops at estrogen and testosterone. At Focus Lifestyle, we run a comprehensive panel that maps your entire hormonal ecosystem — because every hormone affects every other one.

hormonal and metabolic markers assessed in a single comprehensive panel. Most clinics test three or four.

integrated reading of sex hormones, thyroid, adrenal, and metabolic markers — not four siloed reports.

SYSTEMS APPROACH

Sex hormones, thyroid, adrenal cortisol, insulin sensitivity, and inflammatory markers are all assessed together because they regulate each other.

As Seen On

What We Test

Your symptoms have a pattern. The panel reveals it.

Fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, poor sleep, low libido, mood instability — these symptoms are rarely caused by a single hormone. They are the downstream effects of a system that is no longer balanced. Identifying where the imbalance begins requires testing that is comprehensive, not selective.

At Focus Lifestyle, the hormone panel is the starting point for every optimization protocol. We measure what drives your biology, not what is convenient to measure.

Estradiol, progesterone, testosterone

Sex hormones drive mood, sleep, libido, body composition, and cognitive clarity. We measure all three together — never in isolation.

Free vs total testosterone

Total testosterone alone misses the picture. Free testosterone, SHBG, and the ratio between them determine what is actually bioavailable to your tissues.

TSH, free T3, free T4, reverse T3

Thyroid panels stopping at TSH miss most thyroid dysfunction. Reverse T3 in particular reveals stress-driven thyroid suppression that standard panels never catch.

Cortisol and DHEA-S

Adrenal output is assessed alongside sex hormones because chronic cortisol elevation suppresses everything else. The cortisol/DHEA ratio is a key longevity marker.

Benefits

What patients experience.

🔬
Complete Baseline

Your first panel establishes a true baseline for every marker. Future labs track progress and inform protocol adjustments with precision.

🎯
Targeted Protocols

Instead of treating symptoms, we address root causes. The panel tells us which hormones need support and by how much.

📊
Ongoing Optimization

Hormones change with age, stress, seasons, and lifestyle. Quarterly testing ensures your protocol evolves with your biology.

The Science

The hormones we optimize and
why each one matters.

Hormones do not work in isolation. Understanding how they interact is what separates a comprehensive protocol from a partial fix.

T

Testosterone

The primary anabolic hormone in both men and women. Drives muscle mass, libido, energy, cognitive function, and mood. Declines 1 to 2 percent annually in men after 30. Often critically low in women by menopause and overlooked in standard panels.

TRT · BHRT

E

Estrogen and Progesterone

In women, estrogen governs bone density, cardiovascular health, mood, cognition, and reproductive function. Progesterone balances estrogen, supports sleep, and reduces anxiety. Their decline in perimenopause and menopause drives the most disruptive symptoms women experience.

BHRT WOMEN

TSH

Thyroid Hormones

The thyroid regulates metabolism, energy production, body temperature, and brain function. Most physicians only test TSH. We test Free T3, Free T4, and Reverse T3, because patients with normal TSH and suboptimal T3 have every symptom of thyroid dysfunction.

C

Cortisol

Chronically elevated cortisol suppresses testosterone, disrupts thyroid function, promotes abdominal fat storage, and blocks the effectiveness of other hormone therapies. Cortisol dysfunction is one of the most commonly missed drivers of treatment resistance.

ADRENAL OPTIMIZATION

DHEA

DHEA

The precursor hormone the body converts into testosterone and estrogen. When DHEA is depleted, the raw material for hormone production is missing at the source. One of the most commonly overlooked markers, and one of the first things Dr. Daniel tests.

PRECURSOR HORMONE

IGF

Growth Hormone and IGF-1

Growth hormone declines significantly with age, driving muscle loss, increased fat deposition, reduced energy, and slower cellular repair. IGF-1 is the primary proxy marker. Peptide therapy and hormone protocols together address growth hormone decline more effectively than either approach alone.

Why Most Testing Fails

Standard labs are designed to rule out disease — not to optimize function.

“Normal” on a standard lab panel covers an enormous range. A testosterone of 280 ng/dL and 900 ng/dL are both technically normal — but one will leave you exhausted and the other will not. At Focus Lifestyle, we assess where you are within the optimal range for your age and goals, not simply whether you fall outside a reference interval.

Reference ranges vs optimal ranges

A “normal” result on a hospital lab is the average of a sick population. Optimal ranges are narrower and reflect what the data says about high-functioning individuals.

Timing matters

Cortisol, testosterone, and thyroid markers all fluctuate by time of day and across the menstrual cycle. We collect samples at the right window to get a meaningful reading.

Interactions between systems

Treating one hormone in isolation produces unpredictable results. The panel reveals how your sex, thyroid, and adrenal systems are influencing each other.

Retesting after intervention

A panel is not a one-time event. Quarterly retesting ensures the protocol is working — and adjusts when biology shifts.

Is This You

These symptoms are not normal aging. They are correctable biology.

Most patients who come to Focus Lifestyle for hormone optimization have been living with these symptoms for years, often told by other physicians that their labs are normal. If several of these describe your experience, a comprehensive hormone evaluation is the right first step.

Book Your Hormone Evaluation
Persistent fatigue

Exhausted despite adequate sleep and rest. Does not improve with lifestyle changes.

Unexplained weight gain

Especially abdominal fat accumulation despite no significant change in diet or activity.

Brain fog

Difficulty with focus, memory recall, and cognitive clarity throughout the day.

Low libido

Significant reduction in sexual desire or performance in both men and women.

Mood changes

Irritability, anxiety, or low mood without an identifiable psychological cause.

Muscle loss and weakness

Declining strength and lean mass despite regular activity and adequate protein intake.

Poor sleep quality

Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking unrefreshed regardless of hours slept.

Cold intolerance

Feeling cold when others do not, a hallmark symptom of suboptimal thyroid function.

Why Bioidentical

The difference between hormones your body recognizes and hormones it does not.

Bioidentical hormones have the exact same molecular structure as the hormones your body produces. Your hormone receptors are designed to receive specific molecular shapes. A bioidentical hormone fits perfectly. A synthetic hormone with a different molecular structure behaves differently in the body, often with a less predictable effect profile.

At Focus Lifestyle, we use bioidentical hormones exclusively. Not because they are marketed as natural, but because the science supports their use and their molecular identity means the body processes them as it would its own hormones.

BIOIDENTICAL HORMONES (BHRT)
Molecularly identical to yours
  • Same molecular structure as hormones your body produces naturally
  • Recognized and processed naturally by hormone receptors
  • Dosing personalized to your specific lab values and symptoms
  • Available in multiple delivery forms including creams, pellets, and injections
  • Monitored with ongoing lab testing and protocol adjustment
SYNTHETIC HORMONES
Structurally different
  • Modified molecular structure that behaves differently in the body
  • Standard dosing not individualized to your biology
  • Associated with different effect profiles than bioidentical alternatives
  • Less flexibility in delivery method and dose adjustment
